Upon removal of existing roof at the Baltimore P.O. it was determined that the specified tapered system would not yield positive drainage due to ponding of water 2" - 3" deep in 36 foot squares.
SOLUTION:
After LWIC installation:
LWIC was chosen as the insulation system to achieve positive slope while realizing the specified R-20 thermal value. The 148,000+ square foot building was completed in 17 days without interruption to the facility.
